Funeral services for Helen J. DeShazo, 85, West Plains, will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 3, 2011 at the Central Church of Christ under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mrs. DeShazo died 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at her home. She was born June 14, 1925 at Dora, Missouri to William P. and Maude Jewell Harmon. On October 13, 1951, she was married at Salem, Arkansas to Max C. DeShazo who preceded her in death on August 27, 2007. Mrs. DeShazo was a member of the Central Church of Christ. She is survived by four children, Dr. Gary DeShazo, Las Vegas, Nevada, Guy DeShazo, wife, Cherie, Larry DeShazo and Atha DeShazo, all of West Plains; nine grandchildren, Angie, Andrew, Zachary, Ben, Lucas, Brittany, Shaun, Nathan and Natasha; three great-grandchildren, Isaac, Kalo and Starr; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband and thirteen brothers and sisters precede her in death. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Campus House, sponsor of mission trip to Russia for Mrs. DeShazo's granddaughter, Natasha, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
