February 4, 1926 - Died-Josiah Leipply Dies - Josiah Leipply aged 71 years died at the home of his son, Rollo Leipply in Springfield Township near the Old Springfield Church on Tuesday evening, February 2nd, at 4 PM following a week's illness from apoplexy. He was born in Beaver Township, Columbiana County, December 15, 1854. Mr. Leipply had spent his entire lifetime on a farm near where he died.
He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Elsie McFadden of Columbiana and a son Rollo at whose home he died and one stepson,***(incorrect reporting) John Henry Leipply of the home.
He was a member of the Old Springfield Reformed Church. Funeral services were held Friday, February 5th,at 10 AM from the Old Springfield Reformed Church. Burial was made in Columbiana Mausoleum. Rev. Albright in charge. end

Josiah is my grandfather. He is not John H. Lipply's step-father, he is his and Katherine Iffert Lipply's son. Josiah's father and mother are Benjamin &
Anna Mary Snyder Lipply. Emma Brinker was his second wife, not his mother. Corrections made accordingly.

Update 3/18/2016 from grandaughter:

Maurice Benjamin Lipply 1886-1920--Rollo or Rolland 1890-1950, & John H. Lipply,(which is my Dad.) He is not Josiah's step-son. He is his son from his second marriage to Catherine Iffert Lipply. And his name is spelled. Lipply. No e. Uncle Rollo changed it back with an e in it.I think it was my G-Grandpa Benjamin & a few others that took the e out, because so many people were miss pronouncing it. Uncle Rollo gave them all the info & he just spelled it like he did his. On the death certificate he even gave his sister's name as his mother, so I don't know if he was confused or not.
