Dennis M. Fry, 66, of North Platte, died July 9, 2005 at his home.
He was born March 3, 1939, in Omaha to Lloyd and Elizabeth Hollestelle Fry. He graduated from Benson High School in Omaha and then served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959.
On Nov. 29, 1963, he married Susan Kelley in Omaha. They moved to North Platte in 1968. He was a self-employed carpenter for 35 years, retiring in 2001.
Mr. Fry was a member of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior, church youth group sponsor, church chalice bearer, and senior and junior warden of the vestry. He also was an AYSO soccer coach, board member, and area referee. Survivors include his wife, Susan, and his son, Nathan both of North Platte; a sister, Cheryl Birkes of Omaha; two brothers, Barry (Judy) of Deltona, Fla., and Steve (Mary) of Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Brett.
Memorials are suggested to the Episcopal Church. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. today at Episcopal Church of Our Savior with the Rev. John Schaefer officiating. Inurnment will follow at the columbarium in the courtyard at the church. Carpenter Memorial Chapel of North Platte is in charge.
