AN OLD RESIDENT PASSES.
Mrs. Julia A. Bishop, widow of the late Judge A.W. Bishop, died Monday morning, after an illness of many weeks, primarily a result of hardening of the arteries.
The funeral took place Wednesday afternoon from the home, conducted by Rev. D.F. Harrison, the body being laid to rest beside that of her husband in Kingston cemetery.
Deceased had been a resident of this county for more than 40 years and a resident of Kingston about 35 years.
Mrs. Bishop was born in Troy, N. Y., June 8th, 1840, and therefore was nearly 76 years of age at the time of her demise.
She was a member of the Presbyterian church and lived a consistent christian life.
She leaves four children - Chas. Bishop, Mrs. Lillie Esteb, Bert Bishop, Chester A. Bishop, all residents of this place except Bert, who lives in St. Joseph.
One brother and three sisters also survive her - Geo. Fort of Polo, Miss Lena Fort, of Kingston, Mrs. W.S. Boerstler of Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs. Jacob Clute of this city.
