Services for Lura Lee Gann, 81, 316 K St., are pending with Denton Funeral Home. Gann died Monday in Centralia,Wash.

Gann was born Oct. 10, 1907, in Tennessee. She and the Rev. Sherman Gann were married on Sept 4, 1927, in Mt. Calm, Texas. They resided in Texas before moving to Carlsbad in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1980. Gann, who was a homemaker, was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Frances Foreman of Carlsbad, Ruth Wilkinson of Centralia, Wash., and Ida Ryan of Clatskanie, Ore.; three sisters, Jennie Nunn and Adeline Berry of Bellmead, Texas, and Mandy Mae Robertson of Waco, Texas; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services for Lura Lee Gann, 81, 316 K St., are scheduled for Friday at 10 a.m. at the Denton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Bacon of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. Her body will arrive in Carlsbad Wednesday night and will lie in state Thursday.

Gann died Monday in Centralia, Wash.

Pallbearers will be Pat Mitchell, Bud Wilson, Dennis McKinley, Mike Scroggin, Arley Hennessee and Tilman Wayne.
