Jane F. Murray
On Mother's Day, Sunday May 8, 2011, we lost our beloved mother Jane F. Murray. After her long three year struggle with complications caused by a stroke, God lovingly brought her home to rest. She was only 74. She was born Jane Francis Ullmann on November 12, 1936 in Floresville, Texas, raised in San Antonio and eventually settled in Spring Texas. She graduated from Harlandale High School as a National Honor Society student in 1955.
She was a beautiful, generous, loving, compassionate, multi-talented, endlessly creative woman who held many roles in life such as daughter, sister, wife, aunt, friend, grandmother and great-grandmother, but to her children, the role she played best was Mom. She is reunited in Heaven with her parents Otto F. Ullmann and Francis Kolenda Ullmann and her brother Wallace "Gator" Ullmann.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Murray, sisters Shirley Robinson, Doris McGowan, brother Rodney Ullmann, her sons Darryl Downs, Mark Downs, Greg Downs, daughter Dolly Crockett, eight grand children, two great-grandchildren, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and her cat Mitzi.
Visitation and Rosary will begin Friday, May 13, 5pm at Franklin Funeral Home, 914 Third Street, Floresville, TX 78114.
Mass will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011, 10am at The Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville TX with burial to follow.
