She was a native of Ozark, Ala., but had been living in Statesboro for the past 35 years and was a member of the Statesboro First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Treasure Seekers Sunday School Class, president of the Pineland Garden Club and a member of the Statesboro Women's Club.
Surviving are her husband, E. B. Rushing of Statesboro; a son, Dr. E. B. Rushing Jr. of Sanford, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Bernard M. Scott of Atlanta; two sisters, Mrs. E. H. Bacot of Pascagoula, Miss. and Mrs. L. B. Bryant of Roseboro, N.C.; nine grandchildren, a great-grandchild and several nieces and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at Statesboro First United Methodist Church, with burial in Eastside Cemetery.
