Pvt. Thornton Latch was a veteran of the Civil War. He served from August 30, 1864 to June 5, 1865 in Co. A, 8th Delaware Infantry. He was married to Catharine Ann Quillan on July 3, 1860 and to Helen Martin on November 23, 1895. Between the two marriages, Thornton had at least 16 children.
