Salem, UT – JoeAnn Bowman Miller, 77, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, May 9, 2011. JoeAnn was born May 30, 1933 in Harper Ward, UT. She spent her childhood in Honeyville, UT and later in Oregon where she met the love of her life, Roy H. Miller. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on February 6, 1953. JoeAnn and Roy lived in Salem, UT, Provo/Orem, UT, California, and Texas. They later returned to Salem, UT to raise their family for the past 45 years.
JoeAnn loved the Savior and passed on that love to her children and grandchildren. She loved to read and enjoyed music. She served faithfully in multiple church callings and especially loved the youth. She loved to entertain and spend time with her family. Her greatest joy was to give to others.
She is survived by her husband, Roy H. Miller; and her four children, Vickie (Mark) Walker, Rod (Deb) Miller, Chris (Holly) Miller, Jennifer (Mike) Dagley; her two brothers, Jarvis Bowman of San Antonio, TX and Garth (Bonnie) Bowman, of Hurricane, UT. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Myra Pokorny, Yeteve Smith, Beverly Spencer, Velda Malzer, and brother, Gordon Bowman.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Salem 8th Ward LDS Chapel located at 470 E. Salem Canal Road, Salem, UT. Family and friends may call on Thursday evening, May 12, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 S. Main Street, Spanish Fork, or on Friday morning at the church from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Salem City Cemetery.
