Venus, Pa. May 16 - Henry Confer, A well known resident of Pinegrove township, died at his home near this place at 5 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. The deceased was the son of Peter and Catherine Confer. He was born in Washington Township, Center County, Pa. January 1836. In 1856 he was married to Miss Mary Leeper, who with five children preceded him to the grave. He is survived by two sons, A.W. Confer and Dennis Confer of this place; also 10 grandchildren and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. John Paup, Mrs. John Snyder, Mrs. Varner, George Confer, William Confer, Isaiah Confer and J. Confer.
Mr. Confer was a kind and affectionate father, a good neighbor and was highly respected by all who knew him. The funeral services were held at the Lutheran Church at ll o'clock Thursday
