John M. Rogers passed away on April 29, 2005 in Port Angeles, Washington, where he had resided for the last 12 1/2 years.
John was born on July 8, 1928 in Corinth, Mississippi. He moved to Olympia, Washington when he was 17. John joined the United States Army in 1946.
He married Betty Blomberg in 1949 in Olympia. She preceded him in death in 1997. They lived in Olympia for 50 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Betty Wheeler of Port Angeles, and Susan Rogers of Jackson, Mississippi; and four grandchildren, Kelley Ziegler of Port Angeles, Jami Ziegler of Gibbstown, New Jersey, and Heather Terry and Larry Corbin, both of Vancouver, Washington.
