George W. Chambers was the son of Jake and Elizabeth Chambers, both born in Jefferson County, Tennessee. He marrried Margaret Ellison. He was survived by his wife, Margaret of Sevier County; two sons, Oliver and Ray; three daughters, Mrs. Ottis Clifton, Mrs. Clarence Whaley, Mrs. I. C. Catlett; two brothers, Chester and Willis; five sisters, Lettie Swann, Dora Lethco, Mrs. Clyde Romines, Mrs. Frank Hill, and Mrs. James Gann.
