Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Myrtle Wheeler, 92, of Collinsville were held Wednesday, June 25, at 3:00 p.m. in Huff Chapel in Whitesboro. she died Monday, June 23, 1980, at the Collinsville Care Home.
Wayne Zuck, Collinsville Church of Christ minister, conducted the services.
Burial was at the Collinsville Cemetery under the direction of Huff Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wheeler was born on April 14, 1888 in Sadler, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Talley. she married Guilford W. Wheeler in 1908 in Sherman.
She resided in Collinsville since 1923 and retired from teaching in 1924. she was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include: two sons, Lee Wheeler of Collinsville and Forrest Wheeler of Marshall; there daughters. Lucille Smith of Logansport, la., Geraldine Hunt of Seminole, and Jean Liner of Ruston, la., a sister, Carrie Waters of Whitesboro; 15 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. One daughter , Allegra Downing, preceded he in death.
Pallbearers were: Robert Wheeler, James Lewis, Charles Wheeler, Kenneth Waters, Kenneth Alexander, Harold Wells, and Leslie Alexander.
