Brenda Lee Altman
Born Nov. 19, 1939 in North Carolina and grew up in Florida with her sister, Marlene, and brother, Len.
After attending the University of Florida she joined United Airlines as a flight attendant. Her job took her all over the world and brought her to Seattle where she met and married James H. Altman in ‘67. Though she left United Airlines her passion for flying did not diminish, and in time she joined Clipped Wings with other former flight attendants. As her family grew she began to work with the Mercer Island School district, first as a volunteer in the then nascent computer labs, then eventually as a para-educator at the Mercer Island High School where she worked with special needs children. Even while sick she did not wish to stop helping these kids.

Where Brenda is survived by her husband, Jim, and four children, Jamie, Ben, Kim, and B.J., her true legacy is all the boys and girls whose lives she touched.

Funeral services have been held.

Remembrances on behalf of Brenda may be sent to Special Olympics Washington, 2150 N 107th St., Suite 220, Seattle, WA, 98133.
