Mrs. Villines was born in Colorado on April 9, 1921 and passed away at her residence in Taft on Friday afternoon April 2, 1993.
She spent her early years in Colorado and then moved to California first to Long Beach and then to Taft in 1952. She was a retired secretary having last worked for Liquid Waste Management.
Mrs. Villines was preceded in death by her husband Wilburn "Buck" Villines in 1972 and by her brothers Otho (Jack) Gill, Clarence Gill, Ernie Gill and twin brothers who died at birth and her sisters Vivian Mays, Ivy Rowe and Louise Luke. She is survived by her daughter, grandchildren, two sisters, a sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law, three great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends are invited to call at the Taft Funeral Home on Monday to 8 p.m. to pay there respects. The family suggest memorial in her name to the Mercy Home Health Services, 6001 Truxtun Ave., 20, Bakersfield, CA 93309.
