Delta Edward Boland was born to David Edmond and Margaret Mae Fondren Boland on 1-6-1911 in Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas. Delta was the baby of 6 children and her siblings are: Olive Ruth, Carl, Curtis Heath, Walter Norris, and Joseph Edmond Boland.
Delta married William Anderson Owen and together they had five children. These children are Frances Louise, Betty Ruth, Peggy Jane, Judy Barbara, William Anderson Jr. and Stephen Arthur Owen. In 1961, Delta had to bury her beloved husband in Corpus Christie, Texas. Delta had a very hard life, trying to support her four children that were still at home. On July 20, 1980, Delta had to bury her sweet little Judy who was only 37 year old.
Delta was a courageous, loving woman and loved very much by her family. She made a living by teaching piano and baby sitting children during the day. She had very little but at Christmas time she bought or gave ever single child, grandchild, and great grandchild something. As her memory slipped she still loved everyone and was generous and kind to all.
On October 2, 1992, Deltal Edward Boland Owen passed away.
She left behind four children, fifteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren who all adored their Grandmama Owen.
