Josephine Inez Allen was supposedly of French descent, born to John Allen and Mollie Tribble. She married on December 11, 1884 in Boyd, Denton County, Texas to Allen Trebble Byrom (1867-1939) Josephine Inez Byrom was a member of the Christian Church in Texas. Very little is known about her parents. She and her husband produced eight children, their only son and two daughters died at a very young age. The couple migrated to Texas and lived in the Denton area for quite some time. It is unknown why her husband spent ten years in Durant Oklahoma, which is where he died. The children Inez and A.T. Byrom produced were Dessie Bell Byrom Ayers , Myrtle Gertrude Byrom, Sophie Maud Byrom Thompson, Mollie Lee Byrom Crittendon, Lottie Lee Byrom, Zola Mae Byrom, Lee Allen Byrom, and Lucille Irene Byrom Franklin.
