Carla Jean Strong, 32, of 365 Union Hill School Rd., Summer Shade, died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, in an automobile accident.

Born in Monroe County, Sept. 25, 1967, she was the daughter of Shirley Jean (Turner) Ford, Mt. Hermon, and the late Carl William Ford, and the fiance' of Kenny Back. She was employed at Kentucky Apparel.

Survivors other than her mother and fiance' include: two sons, Johnathan Ray Strong, Gamaliel, and Nathan Scott Strong, Summer Shade; a step-daughter, Keystal Back, Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., two brothers, Michael Ford, Mt. Herman, and Robert Ford, Indiana; a sister, Barbara Wilborn, Mt. Herman; and her grandmother, Carline Turner, Mt. Hermon.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, with Bro. Amon Martin officiating. Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Jerry, Hughie, Carroll, Larry, Darrell, and Glen Turner.
