Mr. Ballou was employed as a high school guidance counselor for many years. He was working for the Kingston K-14 School District in Cadet, before he died.
He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Union, where he served as deacon.
Mr. Ballou was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Linda Katherine Ballou, Union; one son, Aaron Walter Ballou and wife Melissa, Union; one daughter, Johanna Fay Ballou, St. Louis; two grandchildren, Briseyda and Raven Ballou; his mother, Laura Ballou, Columbia, one sister, Cathryn Dawn Ballou, Laytonsville, Md.; one brother, John Richard Ballou, California state; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 17, at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Union.
Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Robertsville.
