Genevieve Virginia Miller, age 64 of Greeley passed away Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Hospice care unit of North Colorado Medical Center.
Known to family and friends as Virginia, she was born on November 11, 1946 in Kuner, Colorado to Isabel and Dolores (Renner) Griego. On December 31, 1977 she married George D. Miller in Greeley.
Aside from being a dedicated housewife, a loving mother and grandmother, she was employed at Taco Bell and Wendy's and was a den mother for the Cub Scouts. Her interests and hobbies include reading, cooking, garage sales, playing cards, bingo, her many pets, soap operas and various television programs. She enjoyed time with her family and listening to country music and oldies. Her passion was listening to and collecting Elvis Presley memorabelia.
She is survived by her three sons, Danny Griego of San Diego, California, Roger Miller and wife Marci of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Gary Miller of Littleton, Colorado. Her siblings include Esther Gomez of Greeley, Benjamin Griego of (whereabouts unknown), Liva Martinez of Greeley, Gilbert Griego of Evans, Ernie Griego of Evans, Daniel Griego of Greeley and Rosalie Pisano of Greeley.
Virgina is preceded in death by her husband George D. Miller, sister Dora Ornales, brother Andrew Griego and daughter-in-law Theresa Miller.
A memorial service to celebrate Virginia's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Moser Funeral Service Chapel, 3501 S. 11th Avenue in Evans. Graveside services will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
