Doris Lucille Rushing, 87, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional.
She was born on March 10, 1930 in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Thomas Lonzo Greer and the late Ethel Lee Hawks Wyatt.
Doris was retired from Colonial Rubber, where she worked in the trimming and shipping departments. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Richardson, Mrs. Pat Rushing and Dr. Lyndel Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her four daughters, Joan Jenkins of Frankfort, KY, Joyce Childress of Dyersburg, Diane Rushing of Murfreesboro and Stacey Knight of Dyersburg; three sons, Morlon Rushing, Bobby Rushing and Ryan Knight, all of Dyersburg; her daughter-in-law, Pat Rushing of Dyersburg; eight grandchildren, Vicki Webb, Paul Rushing, II, Brandi Johnson, John Childress, III, Julia Childress, Michelle Rogers, Misty Hatley and Kasey Rushing; seven great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Malcom Rushing; a son, William Paul Rushing; three sisters, Tommie Criswell, Louise Glass and Patsy Dunaway; and two brothers, Marvin Greer and Carl Junior Greer.
Pallbearers will be Paul Rushing, II, John Childress, III, Ryan Knight, Bobby Criswell, Eddie Criswell and Jerry Clutts.
Honorary pallbearer will be Richard Criswell.
