Nathan Barnert MARTIN was born to William Charles MARTIN and Caroline "Carrie" BELCHER on November 8th, 1882 in Paterson.
June 7th, 1900 he was living at home with parents and siblings at 309 Hamilton Avenue, Paterson. He was single, and a clerk in a broker's office.
When he registered for World War I draft, September 18th, 1918, he was a self-employed physician living at 104 W. 83rd St., New York City. His wife was named as Dora [Ehortsin? Ehantsen?? registrar's writing isn't clear and I believe he spelled phonetically]. Likely her name was Dora E. HANSON. Nathan was described as being of medium height, slender build, with brown hair and black eyes.
In 1942, when he registered for the World War II draft, Nathan was 59 years old and living at 7 W. 65th Street, New York City, and working at 27 W. 86th Street, New York City. His phone number was Tr 4 2677. He stated his employment as 'Physician (M.D.).' He gave contact person not as his wife, but listed his daughter "Mrs. F. L. GUSTER, of 415 E. 84th Street, New York City.
At this time, his place of death is not known.
