He married Elizabeth, third child of seven born to William and Esther (Hunting) Avery on the thirtieth day of October, 1729 in Dedham, Norfolk, Mass. Hezekiah was eight years old when his father died and was adopted by a family in Groton, he became a blacksmith living in Groton and Dedham, Mass. It is said Hezekia was buried in Groton Cemetery, Groton MA, However They show no records there .
