Larry Elmo Stoltz, age 72, of Mooresville, NC (formerly of Lawrence County) passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at his residence.

He was born May 27, 1938 in Sumner, IL the son of Verner and Susie (Cunningham) Stoltz. He married Jeryl Benway September 23, 1999 and she survives.
Larry worked in the oil industry in various positions with Texaco Refinery and Coastal Corporation. He was a Navy Veteran. Larry was a member of the Moose, Future Farmers of America and he respected nature.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, three sisters, one son-in-law Jimmie Archer, and one sister-in-law Janis Aiken. Survivors include his wife Jeryl of Mooresville, NC; one son Steven Stoltz and wife Haven of Bridgeport, IL; two daughters Kimberly Archer and fiancé Bill Bradberry of rural Sumner and Lesa Christian and husband Darrin of Vincennes, IN; one brother Bill Stoltz of Decatur, IL; four sisters Lola Skinner of Oolitic, IN, Juanita Kerby of Hernando, Mississippi, Donna Akers of Lawrenceville, IL and Lois Emberton of Forrest, IL; six grandchildren Wade Christian, Amanda Christian, Paige Christian, Jonathan Elmo Stoltz, Jordan Stoltz, and Bailey Stoltz, one brother-in-law Richard Aiken of Midland, MI and a best friend, Ancil Roark, Jr. of Bridgeport. Also surviving is Alene Stoltz, the mother of Steven, Kimberly, and Lesa.

Funeral services was held on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL. A graveside service with military honors will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Forest Lawn Cemetery located in Saginaw, MI.

Memorials may be made to the Habitat for Humanity, Lawrence County Humane Society or the Collie Rescue Society in Winston-Salem, NC
