Benjamin Franklin Swygert, son of Maj. J.S. Swygert, passed away at his home near Irmo April 4 at 6:30, aged 63 years. He was a life long member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Rev. J.A. Cromer pastor. Mr. Swygert was a regular attendant of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church where his wife held her membership.
Mr. Swygert came from a prominent family, his father, Major Swygert, being at one time one of the most prominent men in Lexington County.
Mr. Swygert leaves a widow, one son, Bennie Swygert; one brother, J.S. Swygert, and three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Lorick, Mrs. Ellen Lorick and Mrs. Anna Swygert. The funeral services were at St. Andrew's Cemetery near Irmo.
