COOPENHAVER DIED SUNDAY FROM INJURIES

A. L. Coopenhaver, 1010 Etna avenue, died Sunday night at the Huntington county hospital at 7:15 o'clock as a result of injuries received Saturday afternoon when he was knocked off the top of a barn being moved along a road near Goblesville when he lifted an electric wire to allow the building to pass under. He was rushed to Huntington hospital and every effort made to save his life without avail.

The accident was said to have happened at the Spencer Kaylor farm. Coopenhaver was on top of the barn lifting wires to allow the building to pass under and in lifting an electric power line which runs along the Columbia City road, a circuit was formed through his body and he fell to the ground. Harry Helm, of the Huntington Light and Fuel company and a physician went immediately to the scene of the accident, and Helm telephoned in and the company sent an ambulance to bring the injured man to town. The accident happened about 1 o'clock.

Mr. Coopenhaver was born August 8, 1859, in Huntington county, the son of Daniel and Hanna Coopenhaver. His marriage was to Nettie Lesh. He is survived by the wife and three children, Mrs. Ethel Rudig, Fred and Harry Coopenhaver, all of this city. Two grandsons, Gerald and Donald Rudig, also survive. A half-brother, Harry Coopenhaver, of Garret, Ind., is also living. He was sixty-two years, six months and eighteen days of age. The body was removed to the residence on Etna avenue.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the residence. Rev. J. E. Etter will officiate, and burial will be at Pilgrim's Rest cemetery.
