Hilda Irene Boone Warne Hilda Irene Boone Warne, age 81, passed away Monday, January 3, 2005, in Austin. She was born in Booneville, Tennessee, January 24, 1923. She is survived by son, William A. Warne and wife, Estie of Hutto, Texas; daughter, Hilda Louise (Lisa) Ross of Wells, Maine; grandsons, Daniel Ross of Columbus, Ohio, Christopher Warne of Hutto, Texas, Nathaniel Ross of Wells, Maine and Stephen Warne of Hutto, Texas; granddaughter, Elizabeth Daily and husband, Terry of Austin, Texas. Hilda is also survived by former husband, Col. C.L. (Buz) Warne. Hilda, being remembered as one who sacrificed her whole life for those she loved and cared for, will be missed terribly. Having accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, those who love her take great comfort in our Lord s soon return, and the peace of knowing we ll be reunited soon around the throne of God. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 6, 2005, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Pastor of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Pastor Kermit Bell, will officiate. Private burial will be held at Booneville Cemetery in Booneville, Tennessee. Hilda, a descendent from the same bloodline as Daniel Boone, exemplified the meaning of the word: She was a Boone to mankind.
