Buried beside husband William Barnes. There is a KY Marriage Record for William "Barns" & Phebe Stickler on 2 Mar 1815 in Bath County, Kentucky.

Their eleven children were born between 1816 & 1835. Known children are:

-Matilda Barnes 1816-1884, wife of Thomas Jefferson Atchison.

-James Grandison Barnes 1823-abt 1905, husband of Marguerite Moore.

-Martha Ann Barnes born 1833-aft 1870, wife of James Calvin Moore.

-George Washington Barnes born abt 1835, husband of Emma (Emily) L Barnes.

Inscription: "Phebe, Wife of William Barnes." "Phebe" is inscribed across the top of the headstone in raised letters & hard to see.

Phebe has two headstones. Obviously, one headstone had an incorrect birthdate of 1734, making her age 116 at death in 1850.

On a later visit to this cemetery, her second headstone was discovered and unearthed, which had the correct birthdate of 1794.

Phebe's children are likely buried here in unmarked graves.
