Cory Marvin Lattin, 22, of 1822 7th Ave. S., died Thursday, May 5, at the Cascade County Regional Detention Center, of a possible drug overdose. His death is under investigation by the State Crime Lab.

Visitation is 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Croxford Funeral Home. His funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in Highland Cemetery.

Survivors include his parents, Doyle and Colleen Lattin of Great Falls; brothers Kyle Lattin, Cody Lattin and Casey Lattin, all of Great Falls; sister-in-law Sarah Lattin; several aunts and uncles, including Patty and Wayne McKay, and Uncle Jerry; nieces and nephews Cody Stephenson, Kyle, Koral, DaniLe, Sara Basirat, Emily, Donivanand Savannah Lattin; and numerous cousins, including William "Danny" McKay, Tammie, Forrest, Morgan and Meghan Hodge.

Cory was born July 12, 1988, in Great Falls, Mont., and was raised and educated here. He attended Sunnyside Elementary and East Middle School, and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Cory worked in video stores in Great Falls and Missoula. He also worked at Sam Goody's in the mall in Great Falls. He loved his music, and enjoyed writing poetry and journals. He also enjoyed reading, the outdoors and fishing. His dog, Scooter, was very special to him.

Although Cory struggled with his own life troubles, he was always there for his family and friends. No matter what they needed, they knew they could count on him to help. His family always came first.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Kara; and very close family member Jerry Urton.
