He was born in Nephi, UT. He was the son of George Loran Boswell and Sula Chase. He married Lona Lou Evans in 1952 in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. He served four missions, including one with his wife. He served in many positions in the LDS church including stake patriarch. He also served five years in the Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Lona; eight children: Bill, Kenneth, Janice, Denis, Keith, Brent, Craig, Gary; thirteen grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the Riviera Ward Chapel, 601 East Mansfield Avenue (3115 South), with a viewing an hour prior.
Interment will be in the Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Boulevard (7800 South).
