ESTELLA MAE WIGGEN
A memorial service for Estella Mae Wiggen was Tuesday, July 27, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Pine and C streets. The Rev. Steven Todd officiated.
Mrs. Wiggen, 96, of 108 Thomas St., Rock Springs, died on Tuesday, July 20, 1999. Mrs. Wiggen died following a brief illness.
She was born Jan. 25, 1903 in Centralia, Ill., the daughter of the late Jonathan and Martha Naomi Bozarth. Mrs. Wiggen attended schools in Illinois. A resident of Rock Springs for the past 72 years, Mrs. Wiggen married the late William “Bill” Wiggen in 1926. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1976.
Mrs. Wiggen and her husband operated several businesses in Rock Springs over the years. They were actively involved in a storage and moving business, concrete and several rental facilities. Her pursuits included fishing, hunting, bowling, taking trips to Nevada and numerous years playing bridge and pinochle.
Mrs. Wiggen is survived by one brother, Ire Bozarth of Pekin, Ill.; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Mary Wiggen of Rock Springs; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, three brothers and one sister.
Cremation has taken place.
