Fidel served during World War II and Korea where he earned the World War II Victory Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal with one bronze service star and the United Nations Korea Service Medal.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria G. Marroquin; parents Mr and Mrs. Jose Marroquin Sr.; brothers, Guadalupe Be Marroquin, ricardo B. Marroquin, and Carlos B Marroquin and sister, Consuelo Espinoza.

Fidel is survived by his three sons, daughter, ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
