CHASE—At his residence in Long Prairie, Minn., Friday morning, Dec. 2nd, 1887 of paralysis, F. C. Chase, aged sixty- two years, eleven months, and one day.

Mr. Chase was formerly in the mercantile business in Sauk Centre, as a member of the firm Kellogg, Chase, and Mayo, and subsequently was in the employ of Joseph Casper. He served one term as sheriff of Todd county. His remains were brought to this village for burial.

Sauk Centre Brass Band- Was organized in 1873, with ten pieces, and F. C. Chase as leader.
