Mrs. Roxie Lee Shannon, 86, of 1266 Sumner Ave., El Cajon, a 52-year resident of the county, died Wednesday in a hospital. Mrs. Shannon, the former Roxie Lee Marlin, was born in Arkansas. She was a member of the El Cajon Valley Women's Club, the Bostonia Woman's Club and a life member of the Bostonia PTA. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Laura Holmes of El Cajon and Mrs. Lola M. Coon of Lakeside, a son, James L. of Lakeside; three sisters; a brother; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Recitation of the rosary will be at 7 pm tomorrow at the Paris Mortuary Chapel. A requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Monday at St. Kieran's Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
