Mrs. Martha Airhart, 82, died this morning at a local hospital. The body is at the Burke Hammer Funeral home from where funeral arrangements will be announced.
Mrs. Airhart was a resident of 2514 Colfax St. She was a native of Gillis, LA. She was the widow of the late Rev. Cason Airhart.
Survivors are four sons, Elton and Arvie Airhart, both of Lake Charles, Rev. Elwood Airhart of DeRidder and Amos Airhart of Longville; two daughters, Mrs. Drusilla Kingrey and Mrs. Pauline Yarborough both of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren; three brothers, Jack and John Smith of Gillis, and Buford Smith of Lafayette; four sisters, Mrs. George Alexander, Pencie Smith Alexander, both of Bel, Mrs John Jackson and Mrs. Hubert Hagar of Longville.

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Airhart were to be held at 2 p.m. today at the Burke-Hammer Funeral chapel.
Burial was in Creel cemetery near Bel. Rev. T.E. Ewing, pastor of the English Bayou Pentecostal Baptist church officiated and was assisted by Rev. J. W. Evans.
