Donald D. Ball, 84, of Chesterhill, died at 3:40 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Genesis Health & Rehabilitation Center in McConnelsville. He was born Dec. 16, 1924, at Wrightstown, the son of Fred and Mamie Martin Ball.
Mr. Ball was a Navy veteran of World War II, a retired custodian from Marion Elementary School in Chesterhill and a member of the Wrightstown Christian Church in Amesville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Eva Ring, Gladys Wells and Goldie Ball.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Monday), at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12 at the funeral home, with Pastor Archie McCune officiating. Burial will be in Chesterhill Cemetery.
