Duane Charles Fleet age 72, of Campbell, NY died Sat, Mar 14, 2009 at Corning Hospital.

Born in Corning, NY, Duane was the son of Andrew and Beulah Fleet.

He served his country in the Navy from 1955-59.

He married Lacene Whitney in 1975 in Campbell.

He worked in the weld shop at Ingersoll Rand in Painted Post, and retired in 2001. His passion was truck driving, and he worked for William R. Campbell Trucking in Galeton, PA. He loved camping, rodeos, NASCAR, baseball, especially the Mets, woodworking, fishing with his grandkids, hunting, and his dogs Rusty and Rascal. He was a member of the Campbell Fire Dept.

His survivors include his wife Lacene; three daughters, Janet (Barry) Wentz of Walton, KS, Jill (Daniel) Feay of Newton, KS, and Jackie (Randy) Curtis of Newton, KS; three sons, Richard (Peggy) Brouwere, Jr. of Campbell, Jonathan (Christina) Brouwere of Prattsburgh, and Michael (Sheila) Brouwere of Campbell; two sisters, Donna (Lyman) Edwards of Campbell and Joan (Wayne) Ferguson of Williamson, NY; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Tyson, Adam, Joshua, Robby, Ryan, Amanda, and Trapper; three g-grandchildren, Jackson, Abigail and Kaden; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Edgar Fleet.

Calling hours will be held on Wed, Mar 18 from 5-7 PM at the Thurston Christian Church, Rte 333, Thurston, NY where funeral services will be held on Thur, Mar 19 at 11 AM with the Rev David Peck officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Campbell.
