Obituary, paper is not named or dated-Death of Lyman Ellis. Lyman Ellis, an old resident of this section, who lives, just across the line between Bloom & Thornton Townships, on Halsted Street, about three miles south of Harvey, died last Thursday night at 9:00 o'clock. In the afternoon he attended the funeral of a daughter of Seymour Young, of Thornton, and while returning home, and when just near his own house, he suddenly became unconscious, he was carried into the house where he died in five hours, remaining unconscious to the last. He was well known by all the old residents of the section, having lived for forty three years in the neighborhood where he died. He was one of the wealthiest farmers in Bloom Township and owned between ? and 400 acres of land in the Township, besides a farm in Tennesee and property in Chicago and Englewood. He leaves a wife, two daughters, and five sons to mourn his loss, all of his children are married, he was almost 68 years old, the cause of his death was hemorrhage of the lungs.
