A. Diven Bickel, 71, of Ten Mile Bottom, died suddenly at 7:30 p.m. Monday at his home following an illness of several weeks. He was born October 27, 1874, in Cranberry Township, the son of the late Andrew and Mary Heckathorne Bickel.
On March 16, 1898 he married Miss Jennie B. Stanley of Ten Mile Bottom. The deceased spent his entire life in or near Ten Mile Bottom and had followed the lumbering business. He was a member of the Heckathorne Evangelical church for many years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Laveda Funk of Ft. Littleton; O. D. Bickel of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Mildred Stephens of Geneva and Mrs. Betty Saulsbery at home. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Ella Lindsay and Mrs. Vera Coburn of Oil City and H. M. Bickel of Pleasantville.
The body was removed to the Crawford funeral home and will be taken to the family home this afternoon. Funeral arrangements will be announced.

A funeral service for A. Diven Bickel of Ten Mile Bottom will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the family home with Rev. H. M. Mohney, pastor of the Heckathorne Evangelical church, officiating. Interment will be in the Heckathorne cemetery.
