She was born May 3, 1913, in Avard, Okla., to Alvert N. and Orpha Roberta Edmonston Barber.
A homemaker, Mrs. Rust lived in Lakin for several years and had resided in Elkhart since 1980.
She married William M. "Bill" Rust on May 26, 1934, in Lakin. He died in 1984. She also was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters and a grandson.
Survivors include a son, John Wesley Rust of Rawlins, Wyo.; three daughters, Donna Lee Sanders of Bellingham, Wash., Peggy Joyce Lyons of Rochester, N.Y., and Shirley Ann Ketchum of Elkhart; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was at Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar, Colo. A memorial service was at First Church of God in Elkhart.
