Peggy Elizabeth Lovern Elliott, 54, of Blacksburg, died Sunday, July 31, 1994, at Radford Community Hospital. Mrs. Elliott was born in Montgomery County on July 19, 1940, and was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Bland Lovern. Survivors include her husband, Rodrick S. Elliott; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Jay Shorter, Radford; one son, Christopher R. Elliott, Blacksburg; one granddaughter, Renee Christina Elliott, Blacksburg; two grandsons, Christopher and Devin Shorter, Radford; her father, Harless Lovern, Blacksburg; three sisters, Shirley Price, Nancy Thompson both of Blacksburg, Christine Rice, Blue Ridge; two brothers, Randall Lovern, Eddie Lovern both of Blacksburg; special friends Lehonna Pendergrass, Blacksburg, Louise Saville and fami ly, Blacksburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 1994, at New Mt. Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gary Rhinesmith officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 446, Christiansburg, VA 24073. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
