Earleen Newby Hiatt, 87, of Zionsville, was born to the late Earl Newby and Lillie (Robey) Newby. Earleen worked as a cashier for the Carmel Clay School Systems along with the Carmel Utilities Company. She was a member of the Zionsville Christian Women's Fellowship. In addition to her parents, Earleen was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Sue Baker and sister, Allegra Applegate. Survivors include her husband, Richard B. Hiatt; sons, Gene (Renaye) Baker and Terry (Ernestine) Baker; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Family and friends will gather on Friday, April 29, 2011 in the Carmel Friends Church, of which she was a member. The funeral service will also be held in the church on Saturday, April 30, 2011.
