Pioneer Resident of County Dies At Home Early Friday Morning

Mrs. Edna Gusti Furgerson, a pioneer of the Telephone community, died at her home in High Prairie at 4:20 Friday morning. Mrs. Furgerson, who was 88 years old, had lived in this community all her life and was the last of the charter members of the Telephone Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Baptist church in Telephone with the Rev. Cure, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in the Telephone Cemetery with Mikel-Brown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Furgerson is survived by one son, J. T. Furgerson of Telephone and one daughter, Mrs. Effie King of Hanley, Texas.
