CLYDE E. CAIN
Clyde E. Cain was born Jan. 1, 1891, in Cainsville, Mo., and departed from this life July 1, 1960, at the age of 69 years and six months, after a long illness.
The son of Susan and Elijah Cain, Clyde grew to early manhood in northern Missouri. He was baptized in the Christian church at Westboro, Mo.
He was united in marriage to Mima E. Roberts at Rockport, Mo., Aug. 6, 1916. To this union 14 children were born. They are Mrs. Frances Whitmore, Safford, Ariz.; Mrs. Bobbie Newman, Burlington; Mrs. Mary Kennedy, North Hollywood, Calif.; Mrs. Joyce Allen, Chariton; Mrs. Elaine Cox, Pease Air Force Base, N.H.; Clyde Jr., Atlanta, Ga.; A/1C Robert H., Phoenix, Ariz.; T/Sgt. Richard D., Las Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. Patricia Walker, Marionville, Mo.; AM/1 Don L., Grenwich, N.H.; MM/2 Claire F., Chariton; BT/3 Larry G., Norfolk, Va.; Phillip J., Williamson; and Mrs. Marna McFarland, at home.
Mr. Cain was a kind and loving husband and father and lived a good Christian life.
Besides his wife and 14 children, 28 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, he leaves six sisters and three brothers, many nieces and nephews and numerous friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, at the Beardsley Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold McElwee officiated. Interment was in the Chariton cemetery.
