~~Mrs.Nancy E. Bridges, widow of the late Shadrach Bridges died at 2 am today in her home at 262 S. Union street. She was 86 years old.
Born Sept.4,1853 near Memphis,Mo she was married in 1878 in Memphis to Mr.Bridges, who died Oct. 23,1929. They had moved to Decatur 21 years ago from Downing, Mo.
Mrs. Bridges was a member of the Central Christian church of the Welfare Sunday school class and the Womens council of the church and the order of the Eastern Star in Downing.
She leaves two daughters,Miss Grace and Miss Maude E.Bridge, one son,Fleix G.Bridges all of Decatur and one brother,William L.Smith of San Diego,Calif.
The body was taken to the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home. Arrangements for the funeral are incomplete. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon tomorrow.
