Mr. Hiram Marion Abbott, Windy, Ky., was born to Mr.and Mrs. J. W. Abbott at Slickford, Ky., in Wayne County, Dec. 8, 1885 and departed this life at his home in Windy on April 18, 1959, being 73 years, 4 months and 10 days of age.
He was married to Ida Leveridge, Dec. 12, 1915, and to this union 3 children were born, Mrs. Delia Stevens, Windy, Ky., Joe Delmer Abbott of Indianapolis, Ind., and John Marion Abbott, also of Indianapolis.
Besides his wife and children, he leaves to mourn his passing, one sister, Lucy Rector and one brother, Alvin Abbott, both of Indianapolis, Ind., and four grandchildren.
He was a kind and loving husband, father and neighbor and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
A precious one from us is gone, a voice we loved is still, a vacant place is in our home that never can be filled.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 20th at 10:00 am at the Davis Chapel Church, being conducted by Bro. Riddle, with interment in the church cemetery. The Richard Lee Funeral Home had charge of the services.
