Edmond Wayne Dillard, 74, of Brighton, Missouri, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, in Cox South hospital, after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 29, 1927, the son of Roy L. and Ruby Nunn Dillard, he attended Ebenezer Grade School and Willard High School. Wayne served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Fundamental Baptist Church of Pleasant Hope, where he served as former song leader and trustee. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth; parents; and brother-in-law, Jr. Fieth. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wanda Stokes Dillard; sons, Bruce, and Phillip and wife Caroline Kay; three grandsons, Greg, Daniel and Eric Dillard; two brothers, Jim and wife Betty, and Dwight and wife Shirley; sister, Carol Sue Keltner and husband Vernon; brother-in-law, George Henry Stokes and wife Bettie; Dr. Grant Stokes and wife Ernestine; sister-in-law, Arvilla Fieth; and two aunts, Helen Robertson, and Anna Lee York and husband Clyde. Burial Wednesday, in Brighton Cemetery.
