George Monroe Roseberry, 85, died Thursday afternoon in a Marion Hospital after an extended illness.
Born in Wythe County in 1870, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gleavie Fortner Roseberry, two sons, Gordon Roseberry, Greensboro, N.C., and John P. Roseberry, Piqua, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. George Bain, Greensboro, N.C., Mrs. Forest Gregory, Pulaski, and Miss Edna Roseberry, Piqua, Ohio; two brothers, Fred Roseberry, Everettsville, W. Va, and Fayett Roseberry, Bismarck, N.D.; two sisters, Mrs. A. B. Kenny, Ben Hill, Ga., and Mrs. Laura Bryant, Forest City, N.C.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. from Thomas M. Seagle and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. B. P. Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in the Hufford cemetery.
The body will remain at the funeral home until the hour of services.
