Ada M. Baney, 85, formerly of Apple Street, Williamsport, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010 at Susque-View Home in Lock Haven.

Born Oct. 25, 1924 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Clarence and Clair Tubbs. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and loved soending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter J. Baney, four children, Walter H. Baney, Blair Baney, Marlalue Baney and Donna Baney, and five siblings.

Surviving are four children, Betty Eckard, Ronald Baney and Dean Baney, all of Williamsport, and Inez Confer of Loganton, grandchildren John Eckard, Cathy Stutzman, Scott Baney, Jeremy Baney, April Baney, Tom Baney, Allen Miller, Bradd Miller, Cody Miller, Desir'e Weigel, Autumn Miller, Isabella Miller and Bobbie Swisher, great-grandchildren, Aden, Ema, Bella, Zoe and Aden, and two sisters Freda Miller and Doris.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Jersey Shore Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Ada's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
