Chester Henry Plautz

Chester Henry Plautz, 85, of Indigo Pines died Thursday, March 17, 2005, at his home. He was born in Antigo, Wis., son of the late Henry and Agatha Pohlman Plautz.
Mr. Plautz moved to Hilton Head Island in 1973 from Spokane, Wash. He was an avid fisherman and bowler. He acted as secretary-treasurer for several bowling leagues on Hilton Head, Beaufort and Spokane.
He was a retired World War II veteran.
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, a sister; a stepdaughter and son-in-law; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at noon April 8 at Beaufort National Cemetery with full military honors.
The Island Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
